At Advanced Hardwood Floors, Install & Finish, we install four types of flooring: unfinished and prefinished solid hardwood flooring, engineered hardwood flooring and laminate flooring.

We also do custom floors. With advances in the industry within the past few decades, customizing your wood floor is easier, and more affordable, then ever before. You can create a one-of-kind with simple upgrades such as borders, medallions, and even hand-distressing.

At Advanced Hardwood Floors, we want you to be happy with your flooring investment for a long time to come. Below you can see our guidelines on keeping your floor looking great and what to do in case something goes wrong.

We use three types of underlayment; Natural Cork, Sika AcouBond and Silent Stride.

New Floor

SOLID UNFINISHED

Cut from a single piece of wood, unfinished flooring gives you great investment value and allows you to choose from the greatest variety of wood species, board sizes, stain color and finish.


SOLID PREFINISHED

Cut from a single piece of wood, prefinished flooring gives you great investment value, elminates the need for sanding and finishing after installation and factory stains last longer than stains applied on-site.


ENGINEERED

Built from several layers of plywood and a wear layer of real hardwood, engineered flooring is a stronger and more cost effective solution than solid flooring options.


LAMINATE

Using imaging technology, laminate flooring copies the look of real hardwood flooring at a significantly lower cost and offers the best transitions between rooms due to its slim construction.

Existing Floor

HARDWOOD

Care & Maintenance - Solid & Engineered flooring are easier to care for than ever. Regular removal of dirt, dust and moisture will help prevent damage from everyday use.

Repairs & Refinishing - Shallow scratches in can be touched up with finish recoating. For deeper damage, sanding and refinishing can return the original luster of the floor.

 

LAMINATE

Care & Maintenance - Regular removal of dirt, dust and moisture will help prevent scratches and water damage. Be aware that some cleaners will leave a dull residue.

Repairs & Refinishing - Special manufacturer pencils and fillers can repair minor damage. Laminate floors cannot be refinished. Widespread or deep damage can only be eliminated through floor replacement.

Accessories

Advanced Hardwood Floors offers a full line of hardwood floor accessories such as wood vents and flooring trim to give you a complete, finished look to your hardwood flooring investment. Accessories can be used to accent and complement your wood, stain and finish choices or to provide smooth and seamless transitions with walls and other rooms in your home.


Wood vents
come in several styles:
- Surface mount vents drop right onto existing floors, whether hardwood, laminate,carpet or tile.
- Flush vents install into the floor leaving a smooth surface.
- Damper vents clamp onto existing metal vents.
- Wall mount vents fit ducts located at the edge of the floor and wall.

 

Flooring trim
comes in a variety of shapes and sizes to create transitions between adjacent rooms and edges; base boards for where floors meet walls, threshold trim to cover joints in floors, span doorways, connect floors of same and different heights.
